Redirect Page Generator
Redirect pages are useful tools — they can provide a
vehicle for counting the CTR on ads, and initiate downloads
of your ebook or other files.
If you advertise, it is essential to track performance.
Otherwise, you won't know which ads are working and which
are not.
With this redirect page generator, you can create a redirect
page with the ability to cause click logging and/or to send
an email with each click. This system can be used for
automatic downloads as well as for "normal" redirects.
Two things are required:

Master Form V4 installed on your domain.

The redirect page generated by this generator.
Complete instructions are available at the generator itself
with the "[instructions]" link.
Here is an overview of the process:
First, create a Master Form V4 form composed of hidden
fields. The hidden fields tell Master Form V4 whether or not
you want to log the redirect, whether or not to send you an
email, and where to redirect the browser to.
Now, copy and paste the values in the hidden fields into
the redirect page generator. And click the button.
The next page displays all the correct code for the redirect
page. Copy it, save it as a web page, and upload it to your
server.
The URL of that new redirect web page is the URL to publish.
When someone clicks the URL to your redirect web page, this
happens:

The browser begins to load the redirect web page,
and spots some JavaScript.

The browser reads the JavaScript and redirects to
your installation of Master Form V4.
(If the browser does not have JavaScript turned on,
the redirect will happen anyway, but after the
redirect web page has fully loaded.)

Master Form V4 will:
a. Send an email to you (optional).
b. Log the redirect (optional).
c. Redirect the browser further, to the web page you
specified when you used the generator.
At this point, the browser is at the web page you want the
visitor to end up at. Master Form V4 will have emailed you
and/or logged the redirect, if you so specified when you
used the generator.
To cause downloads to happen, use a meta tag in the web
page the site visitor ends up at.
The generator has built-in instructions for the download
meta tag.
Even if you don't have Master Form V4 yet, give the
generator a try. Use the example in the instructions for
generating the redirect page. It can be educational.
The benefit of this system is your complete control over
the format of the log file and the information the email
contains (if you choose to have them), just as with any
Master Form V4 interaction.
